How to Use

Tonal Control lets you convert a pump of your favorite hair product into a brightening, de-brassing product — no compromises. You customize how little or how much you want to use, depending on the level of toning you need that day.

Directions:

In your hand, pump Tonal Control into a dollop of your regular shampoo, conditioner, or styler. Mix with a finger, then apply and use as normal. Effects fade after 3–5 washes with regular shampoo.

Starting Guide:

  • Regular upkeep – 2–3 pumps mixed into your usual amount of clear/white shampoo or conditioner once every 3–5 washes
  • Leave-in styler – 1–2 pumps mixed into your usual amount of leave-in cream or mousse every 3–5 washes
  • Spot treatment – 3–8 pumps blended into a double dose of conditioner or mask; apply only to areas that need de-brassing (old dye) or neutralizing (heat-damaged sections), leave for 5 minutes, then rinse

What hair color is Tonal Control made for?

Tonal Control™ is made for gray, silver and white hair, especially hair that looks yellow, brassy, dull, warm, or uneven from old dye, heat, sun, minerals or pollution. Blondes can use it, too to cool down over-yellow tones.

How often should I use it?

For regular upkeep, use 2–3 pumps mixed into clear or white shampoo or conditioner once every 3–5 washes. For yellowed or brassy areas, mix 3–8 pumps into conditioner, a mask or leave-in styler and apply only where needed.

Will it dry out my hair?
