Shine & Define is packed with effective ingredients that love silvering hair. Below is a application guide for medium length, medium thickness hair - amount required should be based on your hair length and texture.
Note: Shine & Define is powerful! A little goes a long way.
To use as a finishing glaze:
* rub 1-2 pumps into palms and use fingers to comb through dry styled hair starting midway along the hair shaft to the ends
To use as a restorative balm:
* rub 1-3 pumps into palms and gently rub into over-stressed ends of wet or dry hair and style as usual

What makes Shine & Define different from other shine products?
Traditional shine enhancers coat the hair to create a shiny finish and use silicones, tinted oils, or dyes that can build up, dull, and discolor silvering hair.
Shine & Define is crystal-clear, silicone-free, and absorbs into the hair rather than coating it. It nourishes as it works, smoothing frizz and enhancing natural shine and depth without residue, buildup, or discoloration.
It works for every shade of silver, gray, and white hair.
Will Shine & Define make my hair greasy or weigh it down?
No. Shine & Define is a lightweight dry finishing oil that absorbs into the hair. Used in the right amount for your hair, it leaves hair soft, smooth, and weightless, not oily or heavy.
For fine or thin hair, start with half a pump and focus on mid-lengths and ends.
How do I use Shine & Define?
Use Shine & Define two ways:
As a nourishing balm, apply to towel-dried hair from mid-lengths to ends before styling to nourish, smooth, and protect dry or over-stressed hair.
As a finishing glaze, rub between your palms and lightly smooth over dry, styled hair to add shine, refine texture, deepen low tones for definition, and control frizz and flyaways.
How much should I use?
As a finishing glaze, use 1–2 pumps for fine to medium hair and 2–3 pumps for thicker hair.
As a nourishing balm, use 2–3 pumps for fine to medium hair and 4+ pumps for longer, thicker, drier, or more porous hair.
Start with the recommended amount and add more as needed.
Applying too much at once can leave hair temporarily oily while the product absorbs.
Is Shine & Define effective on all hair types and textures?
Yes. Shine & Define works on fine, thick, straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair.
On curls and coils, it adds hydration, softness, and definition and can be used to soften and break a gel cast without adding weight.
Does Shine & Define have a fragrance?
Yes. Shine & Define has a warm, grown-up cashmere scent that is soft and subtle. While the formulation contains coconut alkanes, it does NOT have a coconut scent.

This is the most wonderful product I have ever encountered. My stylist agrees. It really brings out the colors and tones in mature hair. My hair is about half brown and half white and with the help of your product it appears to have beautiful silver, grey and brown tones blended together quite beautifully. For nearly ten years my goal was to go back to my natural hair color. I have been trying to tame my silver's for years. I ended up making my own products. The main one being a hair oil. But I started to notice the toning of my hair was going in a direction I didn't like. After I tried this shine and define oil my search is over. The clear color means no more yellowing of my silvers. And I'm amazed, I've only been using it for 2 weeks, and my fuzz is almost completely controlled. I highly recommend this product.

Great product. I have curly hair; I use the shine and define to "scrunch" the cast out of my curls once my hair has dried. Shine and Define does exactly that. My hair is beautiful after using S & D. Very happy to have found these products!!
This product doesn't take much and I have really long salt and pepper hair. It provides a nice shine. The shine has lasted the longest of any of the multitude of products for this purpose that I have tried. I wish the initial glistening lasted all day but again it is the best I have found so far.
