How to Use
How to Use
Tonal Control lets you convert a pump of your favorite hair product into a brightening, de-brassing product — no compromises. You customize how little or how much you want to use, depending on the level of toning you need that day.
Directions:
In your hand, pump Tonal Control into a dollop of your regular shampoo, conditioner, or styler. Mix with a finger, then apply and use as normal. Effects fade after 3–5 washes with regular shampoo.
Starting Guide:
- Regular upkeep – 2–3 pumps mixed into your usual amount of clear/white shampoo or conditioner once every 3–5 washes
- Leave-in styler – 1–2 pumps mixed into your usual amount of leave-in cream or mousse every 3–5 washes
- Spot treatment – 3–8 pumps blended into a double dose of conditioner or mask; apply only to areas that need de-brassing (old dye) or neutralizing (heat-damaged sections), leave for 5 minutes, then rinse

Finally! Temporary color that does what I had hoped for. Works well in all my hair products too; shampoo, conditioner and styling products. Actually touched up a small brassy strand in a hurry by pumping the product straight onto a damp makeup brush and lightly swabbing it on. I will continue to purchase

I’m never going back to the bottles of purple shampoo that dry out my hair, this is mixed with my regular shampoo and leaves my hair looking great, without the drying of my hair. Great product!! I will never use anything else!!
I have beautiful silver/white hair. Ut the ends were grabbing minerals in the water and turning brassy. After one treatment (added to conditioner) I’ve seen a huge difference!
On a whim I ordered this product last year. I had hopes that it would help take the yellow out of my gray hair. I spend a lot of time outside and my hair seems to be sensitive to the sun.
I was more than excited when this product worked, noticeably, the first time I used it. My grays are brilliant.
I tossed the few purple shampoos I had and use this product on an as needed basis.
This is an amazing product, minimal amount goes a long way, easy to use and well worth the price.
I had a hairstylist bully me into using a too-hot hair dryer on the front of my hair for a blow-out. Two sections that were almost pure white burnt into a slight yellow that won't wash out. I used tonal control mixed into a mousse and applied to those flippin' damaged yellows (on damp hair to make sure it was even) and boom. Neutralized. It washes out after a few washes, but i can reapply until those whites grow in again. Holy smokes. thank you!!
I only used this one time, but I love the results! I stopped coloring my hair 2 yrs ago. I still have a slight bit of the dye on my ends which has faded to a yellowish brown. I'm an avid walker and I believe the sun is my hairs worst enemy. I have a tinge of yellow at the front and a few areas where my hat doesn't protect it. I mixed this in with my shampoo and concentrated it on my ends. It did seem to neutralize it! I'm excited to use this and really look forward to seeing cumulative results. I was going to have my hair dresser use a toner but I don't think I'll need to.

So far I like it. What I don't like is being asked to review a product before you have used it for at least 3 months. Too many times people change their mind after the initial review, whether it be good or bad, so I like to wait. In a rush for a review, I used it today. I will not purchase purple shampoo again. This is too easy and I have control. Some purple shampoos tinted my white hair. I'm sticking with Tonal Mix. I may mix for my white dog too!!
